
Please join us on August 18, 2008 to welcome Jim Litchko as our guest speaker for the August M2D2 presentation. Jim will be speaking on the process, people, measurement and leadership dimensions of performance management.
Jim will provide suggestions on how processes, people, measurements and leadership can assist the Project Manager in improving project results. With over 30 years in managing projects in the commercial and government sectors, Mr. Litchko will demonstrate what works and what does not in each location. Also, for those project managers with joint efforts, contractor and government employees, Jim will provide a prospective of how to resolve differences.

Bio - Jim Litchko
James P. Litchko, CISSP, CAS, is a senior information systems security author and strategic advisor, with over twenty-five years experience assessing and developing information technology (IT) security solutions. He has held senior executive positions and advised executives at several of the largest commercial IT security companies. During his twenty-year Navy career as a surface warfare and cryptographic officer, he led efforts supporting military actions in the Atlantic, Pacific, European, Mediterranean, African, and Middle East Theaters of Operations. His last five years in the Navy were in staff and technical positions at the National Security Agency (NSA) and the National Computer Security Center (NCSC), where he was Staff Chief for the Director. Since 1988, he has been an instructor for computer and network security at Johns Hopkins University, the MIS Training Institute, and the National Cryptologic School. Jim, a professional member of the National Speakers Association, has been a keynote speaker, presenter, and facilitator at over 30 events a year. He has provided IT security presentations to Congressional staffs, Gartner Group, Conference Board, Canadian Embassy and Communications Security Establishment, Price Waterhouse, Merck, Exxon, Freddie Mac, Cambridge University, University of Mexico, SANS Institute, Computer Security Institute, Defense Intelligence University, and National Defense University. He has served on several government-sponsored IT security working groups and was the past Chair of the ASIS International IT Security Council. Jim holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Ohio University. He has authored or co-authored the following books: KNOW Your Life, KNOW IT Security, KNOW Cyber Risk, and Cyber Threat Levels Response Handbook. With 30 years of experience as a program manager, Jim will augment his rules on performance management with real-world stories.
